Pier Solar comes to HD on Xbox One.. originally a 2010 Mega Drive / Genesis game and Dreamcast game this update certainly looks the part, but does Pier Solar HD do more then just a visual upgrade?
Pier Solar on Xbox One plays ok.. save for the controller that isn’t really made for constant d-pad use, it’s feels just like a retro RPG, from difficulty to length.. there plenty here to see!
You know… That Dreamcast game that had the most weird and wonderful soundtrack you’ve ever herd.. Yeah it’s back in HD and its as bright and colourful as ever!
JET SET RADIO HD
So earlier Morphinapg of Reddit took apart the 3 Uncharted games and made then into movies for your enjoyment. There’s game play included when exposition is spouted of but otherwise its pretty well done, akin to the Shenmue movie that was released with the Xbox version of Shenmue 2.
So here are the movies for your enjoyment and here’s a link to the original post (Original Post)
Oh I have no current plans to review the Uncharted games but so you know my opinion on them I’ll quickly sum up the my thoughts. The Uncharted games are to date one of the best examples of scripted and cinematic game play that provides fantastic action and set pieces with well-rounded fun characters voiced and acted by an exceptionally talented cast… Its Nolan North so nuff said!
Today a new article went up on Old School Apps that I wrote a little while ago, looking at Obscure RPGs that you might not know.. especially if you live outside Japan and the US.
So go and give it a read here, some of these will be covered in more depth in future reviews.
Too Human, created by Silicon Knights, has something major in common with Duke Nukem Forever, in that its development time approached almost a full decade. It originally started life off as a title for the Playstation that was to span 4 disks, though with Silicon Knights acquisition by Nintendo production shifted to the Gamecube, however it eventually got left behind and Microsoft had them finish development on it as an XBOX 360 exclusive game. The game was bad, so it shares that with Duke Nukem Forever as well… but was it really that bad a game overall? I’m not so sure…
Anyway Arrival is the final DLC released for Mass Effect 2 and supposed to the start of the bridging between Mass Effect 2 and 3, along with various other spin off media. After the bucket load of awesome that was the Lair of the Shadow Broker everyone was expecting excellence in all areas, and does it deliver something unforgettable? Ultimately… No.
I don’t think it’s a huge leap to say that the Lair of the Shadow Broker is the crowning jewel of the Mass Effect 2 DLC released so far. It gives a big expansion to the Shadow Broker, a character, like the Illusive Man from the first game who was a major plot point early in the game and follows on from dialog Shepard and Liara have in ME2.
So… Mass Effect 2, played it? I have now several times, and a recent replay on the game from start to finish over Christmas gave me a completely different view then what I had before.
I’ll cover what I consider the main 3 DLC packs; Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival. I don’t count Kasumi’s DLC or other Ceberus network packs as there overall impact on the story is minimal.
Worth mentioning beforehand is that I’m playing with a paragon female Shepard.. yes I’m a guy but Jennifer Hale is an awesome voice actor and more people need to play Shepard as female, I also believe her voice serves better for the paragon Shepard… anyway back on point
